Laura started her career in journalism, covering local government for the Kansas City Star. She later transitioned to public relations and marketing in both the private and public sector and later became a freelance writer and copy editor.
Laura spent her youth exploring the woods near her house and sailing on weekends with her family. Now as a mom, she enjoys experiencing nature with her three kids on family hikes and camping trips.
