Spencer Dillon

Skier by winter, skier by summer. Spencer loves skiing (and climbing to ski). He teaches skiing in the winter and is a mountain and ski guide in the spring and summer. He loves, in short, to slide on snow with strangers. Sharing the full-body joy of a deep day is one of his keenest pleasures, and giving people the tools to discover that pleasure in their own lives is a close second.
When not tromping around, he tries to write. Sharing hard-earned lessons is rewarding, but he is always trying to carve out time to write his next, sprawling creative non-fiction piece. His guiding lights in this realm are Dave Wallace’s “A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never do Again” and William Finnegan’s Barbarian Days. He dreams of getting an advance.
He uses his BA in Medieval History every day.
